I am a recently retired police officer with over 26 years experience, the last 15 of which have been spent focusing on cyber crime investigations. I have worked with numerous organisations responding to various cyber attacks including malware, phishing, ransomware, and hacking incidents. As a result of this experience, I have developed a proven ability to lead incident response, mitigate threats, and enable business continuity. Through dedication and tenacity, I have become skilled at building partnerships to educate on cybersecurity best practices. More recently 5 years specialist conducting cryptocurrency and blockchain investigations. Extensive expertise with blockchain analysis tools to trace illicit transactions where I have built proven ability to develop investigative packages and brief leadership. I have become proficient and comfortable when providing training and mentoring for cybersecurity, blockchain and crypto investigations.Despite my recent retirement from the Police, I still want to use my skills and experience to support organisations to develop cyber risk mitigation strategies and respond to cyber incidents. I have just recently personally invested in the EC-Council certified ethical hacker (CEH) course to further develop my portfolio of cyber mitigation skills and expect to have the exam passed in the very near future.
