As Head of Operations for Productivity Engineering, Stuart drives the leadership agenda for the group leadership team and is integral to strategic planning. From this strategy, Stuart owns the 5 year plan, breaking this down into annual objectives and budgets. Stuart was responsible for planning and delivering the Engineering IT and Infrastructure portfolio of projects. This was focused on both supporting and improving the engineering environment used by the business to develop future products. These projects ranged from building new data centres and high-performance compute clusters, through to engineering applications to support business workflows. Stuart led a team of project managers covering a large engineering team.

Stuart was a Principal Consultant in the IT Delivery practice of PA Consulting, a leading management and IT consulting and technology firm. As an IT project and programme manager, he has delivered leading edge technology and IT-enabled business transformation projects across a wide range of clients. He was project manager of the IT Enablers team within a Corporate Services Transformation Programme, he has led the procurement for an Enterprise Asset Management solution at a Utilities company, he was the delivery manager of a major project in the ID cards programme, he managed the Environment and Release Management project at a major finance company, and he managed the creation of a Solutioning service at a central Government department.

As a project manager within the Engineering department of this market leading automotive-based company, Stuart ran up to ten projects concurrently utilising a group of fifty engineers. These projects spanned a range of disciplines including hardware, embedded software and PC software, and included both internal and internationally outsourced teams. He managed each project from the initial proposal and requirements capture through to production and rollout to the customer. He was responsible for resourcing the project team, project planning, financial planning, and reporting project and financial status throughout the company.

Joining the company as a software developer, Stuart developed both components and system infrastructure in VC++ for a major software project that is used for the configuration of and communication with Formula One electronic systems. Stuart led several projects with teams of up to five people which successfully delivered well featured, stable and reliable products to the customer.
