To take the lead in designing and facilitating the delivery of continuing professional development through opening up training and networking opportunities for Occupational Therapists throughout Wales. Senior Housing Occupational Therapist to introduce, develop and deliver a process and procedure for managing Occupational Therapy referrals, to enable a timely responce in association with the Welsh Housing Quality Standards programme. To introduce, develop and deliver a process and procedure for managing Occupational Therapy referrals in association with void properties. To define the role of the Housing Occupational Therapist within the repair and replacement sector of the Disabled Facilities Service by developing a process, with target times, to ensure timely responce for intervention. On completion of an environmental adaptation, to review those clients who are in receipt of a care package, in order to establish whether the provision can reduce the level of previously required care. To explore, develop and establish the interface and role of the Housing Occupational Therapist in relation to the Cardiff Accessible Housing Project. To develop an interface with the Short Term Assessment and Responce Team br providing timely and responsive Occupational Therapy intervention to clients where there are ongoing issues/problems/complaints with environmental adaptations.

To carry out initial assessments of customers on incapacity benefit to establish if they aresuitable for the Condition Management Programme, thus are able to be enabled throughprofessional Multi Disciplinary Support into voluntary work, paid employement, or a training course. The support is then either one to one or group work. I jointly ran a painmanagement group and carry out one to one sessions. I also joint worked with (BAVO) Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations to look at opportunties for customers under my care. Support provided by myself included increasing confidence, anxiety management, depression management, pain management, pacing techniques, relaxation techniques, and equipment advice alongside supporting work opportunities.

Utilization of models of Occupational Therapy within an assessment and care management capacity, creating solutions to complex referrals received into thedepartment.
