Mobility Tools is the UK’s only manufacturer of custom weightlifting belts. Other companies have gone down the easy route of importing from Pakistan and China, bringing in a sub par product with questionable manufacturing practices. We have chosen to go down the difficult - and more expensive route - of doing everything in-house using the finest European leathers. Each stage from leather cutting, embroidery, gluing and stitching is down in our workshop in Bridgend. We are a team of four - which no doubt will grow over time - with a range of skills in design and manufacturing to ensure the creation of truly bespoke products for the customer.

Q Chip has developed a proprietary platform of drug encapsulation for sustained release parenteral formulations. The company has expertise in peptide, protein and NCE encapsulation. The platform uses benign conditions, vital to the preservation of proteins in particular.

My role has varied in the time I have been at Q Chip. For the first 12 months I was involved in scaling up the manufacturing process that had been developed to produce small quantities of API loaded microspheres.I am fully trained in Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD design tools and have taken courses in using Autodesk Inventor for Dynamic Simulation and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Subsequently I have been involved in the validation process for our aseptic manufacturing process. This has seen me create User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, Design Reviews, Impact Assessments, Installation Operational Qualification and Requirement Traceability Matrices. These documents are for submission to the MHRA.In conjunction to this, for the last 18 months I have also been the Document Controller. As part of Q Chip's ISO 9001 accreditation a correct document control procedure must be adhered to. I have implemented a streamlined solution to reduce the number of active documents and thus improve efficiency of finding a particular current document.
