• Primary author of both the 004010 and 005010 X12N 270/271 Implementation Guides adopted for use under HIPAA.

• Transactions implemented for both Health Plans and Health Care Providers included the 270/271 Eligibility, 278 Authorization, 276/277 Claim Status and 837 Professional Claim.
• Additional non-HIPAA related X12 transaction functionality for the 278 Authorization Inquiry & Response, as well as the 277 Claim Status as a response to 837 transactions were developed and implemented.
• Directed and managed team of analysts as well as outside contractors.
• Was speaker on HIPAA Implementation at industry events on behalf of ENVOY/WebMD.

• Responsible for X12 837 and NSF initiatives from mapping, testing, training through to deployment.
• Trained all EDI Customer Support personnel.
• Interact with Federal and State Agencies including the Health Care Finance Administration (HCFA, now CMS).
• Represented HCFA at X12 conferences for their Health Care Eligibility initiatives.
