Born and raised in Scotland, and now living on the lands of the Darug people, I am a cultural programmer, music curator, and producer of screen-based projects and films. I currently work as Head of Screen in the Sydney Opera House programming team, and run the experimental music label New Weird Australia.I have worked for and with companies such as ABC, Art Gallery of NSW, Biennale of Sydney, Disney, The Guardian, MONA and Museum of Contemporary Art, and have produced digital projects for artists such as Depeche Mode and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and won an MTV Europe Web Award for work with Goldfrapp.In 2010 I co-founded The Nest, an award-winning digital creative agency for the arts and creative industries, which was acquired by Frost in 2014. As a broadcaster, I have presented programs on ABC’s Double J, FBi Radio and UK station Resonance FM, and was the recipient of a National Community Broadcasting Award for ‘Excellence In Music Programming’. I have been a Management Committee Member of FBi Radio and Chair of Underbelly Arts Festival.As an occasional artist, I have staged performance works and interventions in London and Glasgow, released a number of albums and soundtracks, and published outsider manifestos, tracts and essays.
