Responsible for the management of the UK finance function of 10 staff with reporting lines from the FDs in the EMEA offices. Ownership of the UK P&L with responsibility for aligning financial processes across the EMEA region. Supporting the directors and shareholders of the business, providing robust and accurate financial information and acting as their business partner.The most significant highlight has been playing a vital role in the private equity sale of the Gorkana business in October 2014 and the subsequent integration with the Cision group. This included the creation of extensive financial models and co-ordination of large parts of the due diligence and information memorandum process with advisors, lawyers, senior staff and board members on the sell side of the deal.Other key highlights include:- Acquisition of two significant companies as part of the group’s buy and build strategy. - Improvement of financial processes, systems and controls and the integration and streamlining of the group's acquisitions.- Creation and constant development of the group budget and forecasts including revenue and cost modelling, covenant / cash flow and working capital analysis.- Transition of the business from variable revenue driven towards a subscription led model. - Implementing cost controls and liaising with key managers and directors to hit tight targets in order to achieve EBITDA forecasts.- Close liaison with private equity backers and banks on funding, reporting and strategic matters.- Working closely with IT on the creation of capital expenditure plans and development of business cases in a highly technology driven company.- Responsibility for the UK property strategy in order to rationalise the property portfolio.
