I am a tax partner at EY specialising in asset management tax. I have over 25 years experience working with a broad range of clients from global asset managers and their funds to boutique private equity, real estate and hedge fund managers.I am also a specialist in operational taxes. I have advised many clients on operational tax matters including FATCA and CRS implementations, the UK corporate criminal offence and most recently MDR/DAC6 implementation. I have worked with many clients on building out their operational tax oversight and governance models and have a passion for helping them design and implement the tax function of the future.I sit on the Investment Association tax committee I regularly work with HMRC and HM Treasury on the development of asset management tax proposals. I am a speaker at a number of technical and industry seminars and am the author of a chapter on the UK taxation of collective investment schemes in Tolley’s Tax Planning and a chapter on the taxation of UK unauthorised unit trusts in Tolley’s Taxation of Collective Investment.
