Stuart has had diverse experience in business & corporate environments. After graduating with an LLB from Otago University in Dunedin, NZ he initially practiced law & subsequently had an career in banking & finance both in NZ & the UK. This involved operational & strategic management roles including strategic planning, projects, corporate banking & establishment of new business units. Stuart has extensive entrepreneurial experience & was involved in bringing a major US based franchise to New Zealand. After selling the franchises Stuart joined a executive recruitment company & built a strong recruitment business. In 2002 Stuart set up his own specialist executive search firm, Kinross Partners, with a team of 5 consulting & support staff, with a focus on building leadership teams & boards for high growth businesses, working extensively with venture capital & private equity investors & their portfolio companies.In 2011 Stuart joined global search firm Korn/Ferry as a Senior Client Partner based in Auckland as part of their Australasian Practice, responsible for their Industrial, Consumer and Board Services Practices in NZ. He resigned to establish 2 new businesses in 2013; Rothbury Kinross Executive Search and Totara, a consulting and investment business focused on expansion phase companies in the agri & food tech sectors.In 2019 he co-founded and put the Board and Exec team together for US based consumer products business Sensitive Home (www.sensitivehome.com).For the past 20 years Stuart has specialised in working in partnership with his clients recruiting senior leadership roles including directors, CEO, GM, CFO, COO, positions across a range of sectors including investment, sales & distribution, technical & industrial, professional services, agri, biotech & ICT. Other key interests are his family, travel & skiing. He spent 10 years in the NZ Army Reserves, is the past President of the NZ Chapter of Entrepreneurs Organisation, a global business owners organisation & was a founding board member of the United World College NZ Trust.
