A dual purpose role responsible for the smooth running, delivery and ongoing support of managed Systems/Applications used within Genting and ensuring any internal developed applications and artifacts are delivered according to SDLC relevant quality controls, on time and to budget. The applications used support Front of House/Back Office functions used across the Casino operations, Loyalty, Food & Beverage, Finance and HR. Working closely with internal business stakeholders and Application Vendors to ensure meeting necessary SLAs. Established a web development function including a QA function to provide internal delivery capability for Genting prior to which did joining did not exist. Coaching and mentoring department and ensuring team culture around a continuous improvement so allowing team to evolve processes with a focus on Continuous Integration, Continuous Deliver and utilizing key Scrum and Lean principles.Working with other heads of department to drive technical strategy and process improvements across all IT to align with business strategy. Supporting businesses operational plan used by Project/Change Managers with to ensure appropriate resource for delivery for capitalized projects and programmes was made available.

Iteration Manager (aka Scrum Master, Agile/Technical Project Manager). Ensuring the successful delivery of numerous projects by managing the scope and flow of work through the team for each project. Where necessary finding problems and ensuring these are resolved appropriately. An additional part of my responsibilities, which is not strictly part of an Iteration Manager's role, is to carry out performance management of team members to motivate and improve them as individuals

Trader Media Group is better known as Auto Trader. Auto Trader is the UK’s leading website for the sale of cars, vans, bikes and trucks from the general public and trade.I was the senior/lead developer who was responsible for the development and deployment of the application called Dealer Edit. Dealer Edit allows a car dealer(ship) to up load stock to the autotrader.co.uk, the Auto Trader Magazine base and to their own website. The software was developed using Microsoft VB.Net and interacts with services developed in Java. The role meant that I had both a development and a systems analyst role. This meant following procedures through the full project lifecycle. I took on more of a management role ensuring that the project tasks were being completed by other team members to ensure successful delivery.

Swiss Life was one of the leading providers of group and individual insurance products within the UK market place. The types of insurance products were Life Assurance, Critical Illness and Income Protection.My role was within the Employee Benefits Department where I was part of an I.T. team developing applications to be used within the group risk area using both .Net 1.0 as well as other bespoke technologies primarily accessing SQL Server and Informix databases.

Insight Technologies was a software house that was a leading company in the document and knowledge management market selling its products to both UK and overseas markets including Australia. The role involved analyzing, designing and developing software applications as well as maintaining previously developed applications. The main focus of the company was to use databases for storage of data and document image manipulation.
