Growing up our home was awash with books and reading was a huge part of my childhood. Having also ventured into publishing by creating a zine that explored the intersection of politics, arts, and local music. Transitioning into the print industry felt a natural step, and securing a print apprenticeship, paved the way for me to become qualified as a litho machine minder. My thirst for travel led me to take a transformative year to travel across Australia, briefly detouring into the banking sector on my return. Yet the allure of print soon pulled me back to the press. A deep desire to become fluent in the industry, saw me promoted through roles in estimating, account handling and into sales. A solid knowledge of process from shop floor to management and a drive to exceed in sales culminated in a significant tender win, alongside £1.5m in direct sales. Additionally, I was honoured to collect the ‘Luxury Packaging Printer of the Year’, at the Printweek Awards on behalf of Pureprint.My favoured head spaces are, image laden coffee table books, indie magazines paying homage to subcultures and well-engineered packaging design. Supported by the innovative and cutting edge technology that Pureprint Group offer. My drive and expertise allow me to consult effectively to achieve memorable print, that cuts through the humdrum. When I’m not bathing in CMYK, I’m out running, having proudly completed the London Marathon raising over £6k for Parkinsons UK. In between hitting the trails, I’m maintaining my ‘69 VW T2 campervan and balancing family life and the needs of our (sometimes) beloved dog.
