Managing a number of live projects including the completion to the groundworks and hard landscaping package of the Newington Residences project in Edinburgh with Cala as the Main contractor. Works include, drainage to landscaped areas, specialist landscaping finishes to a high standard with a high level of detail requiring design input and coordinationwith the design team and other specialist contractors. Previous to this, the successful completion and handover of the groundworks and hard landscaping package to St Crispins School with McLaughlin and Harvey as the main contractor and Edinburgh council as the end client.

Overall Responsibility for several concurrent projects each worth in excess of £2m. Significant projects included housing developments for CCG; Civil Engineering packages for three Edinburgh School for Morgan Sindall both working as a subcontractor; remodelling works at Diageo Leven bottling plant coordinating all trades as Principle Contractor; Full construction of a new stadium at BT Murrayfield for Edinburgh Rugby acting as Principle contractor with full management of the design team and design development, attending fortnightly progress meetings providing a progress report to the client.

Working on a wide range of prestigious Civils contracts ranging from £100k up to £4m for both local councils and commercial clients including works airside and land side at Edinburgh airport, also full responsibility forthe extension and refurbishment works of the Crummock Head Office in Bonnyrigg.

Contracts Manager. Responsible for numerous concurrent projects ranging from New Build Residential to Wind Farm Control Buildings. Overall responsibility for initial estimation work, tender submission and negotiation on allocated projects. Once on site, I have the overall responsibility for Health and Safety, Design Management, Quality control, cost control, Subcontractor Management, Direct Labour Management, Material procurement and submission of monthly valuations. Notable Contracts include, £500k house in Bridge of Allan built with our in-house Structural Insulated Panels. £450k Windfarm control building for RES near Stonehaven. As well as this I have been responsible for a number of Biomass boiler buildings, Gabion baskets, a Hydro scheme near Creiff and various smaller extensions and civils works.

Providing a Project Management service to the construction Industry including Health and safety, Quality control, Quantity surveying, Site Management and trade activity subcontracting.

Project manager. Overall management of several smaller concurrent refurbishment projects throughout Edinburgh, I was responsible for health and safely on site, appointment and coordination with other trades and dealing directly with the client and design teams to ensure that projects were delivered in time and on budget. Most contracts involved Victorian and Georgian Properties and were all high end refurbishment to an extremely high standard of finish. Although I was happy working for REDbuild, an offer of a more senior position at JML Contracts meant that I moved back with them after 2 years away.

Working as a hands on site manager, I was working on a number of projects ranging from culvert installations at the M80 extension to a new build house in Dunblane.

Working as a freelance project manager, I was in charge of the ceilings and partition contract at Exchange Place in Edinburgh under the control of Bovis Lend Lease. Responsibilities included, Material requisitions, quality control, Health and safety, labour management, cost control and design management.

Working as a Freelance Project Manager for Stephenson Construction undertaking the construction of 2no. Concrete tower blocks forming part of the Quartermile development. I reported to Sir Robert McAlpines in regards to progress and quality control.

Working on the Midlothian schools project as well as Glenochil Prison as a Construction manager holding regular coordination meetings with subcontractors covering matters such as Quality, Progress and Health and Safety.

Working on a range of residential and industrial projects organising subcontractors and responsible for dealing with design teams, safety, quality and material procurement.
