Technical support to the ADB Pacific Department in developing regional reviews of risk information, improving management of risk information, and development of multihazard climate and disaster disaster risk assessments, including for Tongatapu, Tonga.

Thesis title: Informing the development of tsunami vertical evacuation strategies in New Zealand.Research comprised numerical modelling of tsunami inundation and social science investigating warning response and evacuation behaviour in local-source tsunami. Development of GIS-based evacuation simulations involved advanced numerical modelling, Python and MATLAB programming, qualitative research and academic writing skills. My research produced four first-author peer-reviewed journal papers and eight peer-reviewed science reports on tsunami inundation, structural damage and evacuation behaviour. I have developed active research collaborations in New Zealand, UK, US and Japan, presented at five international conferences and provided expert advice and public communication on tsunami warning and evacuation, to community groups and regional emergency management organisations.
