A vascular surgeon based in Pensacola, Florida, Stuart Harlin, MD, currently serves as wound care medical director at Sacred Heart Hospital, where he has worked since 2001. Through HL Consulting, Dr. Stuart Harlin also provides consulting services, including staff training and research assistance, through his private medical advising practice, HL Consulting.Dr. Stuart Harlin formerly served in the United States Air Force, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel. He received several decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal and the Commendation Medal. In 1998, he earned the Surgeon General’s Award. After earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Harlin completed his residency at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi from 1987 to 1992. He went on to perform general surgery at Offutt Air Force Base’s Ehrling Bergquist Hospital in Nebraska from 1992 to 1994. During his time at Offutt Air Force Base, he taught surgery to medical students at the University of Nebraska. In 1996, he returned to Keesler as a vascular surgeon.
