Team LeaderMagnetic Media Sep 2001 - May 2003At Magmed I reported to Martin Keatman as the Team Leader of a small development team (4 developers) creating a Company Car management web application for GE Finance. My role involved meeting clients to gather and record requirements, planning and scheduling work and mentoring other team members. I also spent a large proportion of my time as a Developer writing applications.The application was an online solution to allow the management of a company car scheme for GE Capital Fleet Management and involved a car configuration, finance engine and back office tools to support the application. This solution was a client server application written using Microsoft technologies on an Oracle Database platform.My time at Magnetic Media was really interesting and enabled me to learn MS .net from the first Beta release and gave me the opportunity to use Oracle for the first time. Although the team was small I made some great friends who I have worked with since on other projects.
