I initially started as an MI Administrator to help with admin tasks for the MI team. Quickly learning SQL from scratch, I was able to join the MI team as an MI Analyst within just a few months. I now manage and analyse created datasets on a daily basis, along with creating reports for stakeholders. Our front-end system for inputting data is Maytas and I manage this system; updating, backing it up and resolving any issues. On a monthly basis we send vast amounts of data to the Welsh Government and we need to ensure the data is as clean as possible to maximise the funding the business receives, I am constantly looking for new ways to automate this process as much as possible and to pinpoint potential issues early to increase efficiency by using a mixture of triggers and stored procedures in server tasks. I have been involved with, as well as headed many projects for the business including support with new contract bids and reacting to constant changes from the Welsh Government.

I started as an administrator, quickly picked up the workload and within the first year was promoted to Compliance Coordinator where I was involved in most of the business’ main operations. I worked under constant amounts of pressure as the company picked up two large contracts and had to expand quickly, I adapted well and was rewarded for the commitment. Being naturally technically minded I ended up overseeing the implementation of all the business’ new tech and IT systems.

Your Local Broker is an Insurance Broker located in Maesteg, Bridgend. While at Your Local Broker I was responsible for implementing and managing my own department of the business which was the processing of PPI claims. This involved creating a client database which was able to track each stage of every client's claim as well as to capture all of the clients personal details.Along with this I also kept the clients updated with their claims on a weekly basis and sent them relevant information.

Community Safety Partnership are a government run organisation which combines Community Safety with the Licensing Department of the South Wales Police. I worked with the Licensing Department of the police where my main role was to maintain a database which tracks the incidents of all Licensed Premises of Bridgend County such as counts of GBH/ABH by the premises' customers. These incidents were rated in a points system that the premises had to control, getting too many points would result in a court hearing and possible closure of the premises. I appeared in some court hearings to help with IT.As well as maintaining the database I also updated the South Wales Police incident report which is used by the Police force to reference.
