MODE Studios specializes in video and projection for live events with complete production support. They are a turnkey solution for any large-live event with clients ranging from Nickelback to MIT. They design, build, and technically support moving imagery content for backdrops and displays in Concerts, Awards Shows, Operas, Architecture Installations and Corporate Events.I wore many hats while at MODE. I worked closely with the principal creative designer in a variety of capacities. As an assistant and then as an associate designer. With my background and schooling in video production, I was able to contribute as the main videographer and video editor for many of our clients. I became proficient and later certified in both the operation and technical support of a variety of video and media servers. These were our main tools to house and display content in live production environments. I developed an intimate knowledge of vastly different screen formats and display technologies. This is what led me to becoming a systems engineer at MODE and designing and assembling the different components we needed to produce visuals and display content for multi-million dollar live productions. I spent a great deal of time and many long nights behind the scenes at a tech of a show ingesting media into video servers and then ensuring their smooth operation during performances. When not on the road, I oversaw the day-to-day operations of the studio environment. I assisted with managing freelance and contract workers as well as helped wherever was necessary.
