Currently working with Robotic Research leading and managing the safety, systems and test orgs delivering safe autonomous technologyEarlier I lead Uber ATG's/Aurora and Argo AI's systems safety teams dedicated to ensuring safe engineering and operations of self driving autonomous vehicles.I previously filled the technical leadership needs of Department of Premier and Cabinet / Infrastructure Victoria on Autonomous and Zero Emissions vehicles; delivering technical advice across topics such as laser/lidar scanning, machine vision, mapping, battery/EV tech and the engineering/technologies underpinning AVs, CAVs, EVs, FCEVs.Even earlier, I was the Engineering Manager for ARRB Systems, an engineering hardware, software and services company focused on cutting edge technology solutions for lidar, imaging, connected technologies and mapping. In this role I lead and manage the company’s Engineering, Software, Testing and Production efforts, as well as managing the business cases, NPI, forward product plans, priorities and R&D portfolio. Before joining ARRB Group, I worked for General Motors in vehicle architecture and helped with amazing products, such as the VE commodore, the VF commodore, EVs and many other global products for markets such as China, the US, Europe and the Americas.I hold the qualifications of MENG from the University of Michigan (USA), BENG from Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Aus), Diploma of leadership & management from University of Technology, Sydney (Sydney, Aus), RPEng(mech) and RPEng (mgmt) as well as being certified as an Automotive Functional Safety Professional (AFSP).
