-Created and implemented recruiting strategy for the Blacksburg division of the publicly-traded high-tech company-Managed a $60k budget, one recruiter, and the overall recruiting process for dozens of positions-Met staffing headcount goal prior to a quarter end and was told to delay recruiting activities until next quarter

-Implemented the city manager’s vision of creating programs and events to attract and retain young adults in the city-Programs and events received over 120 unique media exposures and dozens of speaking engagements-Invited guest speaker at the International Economic Development Council conference on brain drain in rural areas-Secured Richard Florida’s group to conduct its CCLP in Roanoke as one of only three global sites selected in 2009-Organized and promoted 6 jobs fairs averaging 1,000 attendees and 50 exhibitors at a cost under $1,000 per event-Created the Reverse Job Fair at VT with Delta Sigma Pi giving 200 students booths to self-promote to 50 firms-Built the Roanoke Connect Database from zero to 3,000 job seekers, and distributed 60 bi-weekly job eNewsletters-Coached hundreds of job seekers by creating unique search strategies and connecting them to people and resources -Established and nurtured relationships with countless businesses serving as a “Public Headhunter”

-Performed various projects and supported the Executive Vice President/Senior Fellow for Resource Development-Teamed with representatives from other public universities to pass Restructuring “Charter” Initiative legislation-Handled external relations and marketing for CRS that identified, researched and addressed regional issues
