The Charity's GA&L team (which I lead) covers: charity governance, legal, risk & compliance, assurance, oversight of internal audit & fundraising compliance; senior legal officer & Company Secretary of the charity. Over 10m people in the UK live with arthritis. Every day around 1,000 people are diagnosed with osteoarthritis (the most common form); every month over 2,000 people are diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Many more live with arthritis but remain undiagnosed, untreated & unsupported.As we work towards our ultimate vision – a future free from arthritis – our five-year strategy aims to empower people with arthritis to live well now, and to offer hope through our ongoing commitment to finding better treatments now and cures in the future.As a charity, we do this by investing in world-class research, delivering high-quality services and campaigning on issues that matter most to people with arthritis. We regret to announce that We Are Arthr Limited (Arthr) ceased trading on 6 Jan 2023 and entered into members' voluntary liquidation on 24 May 2023. But its social mission is actively being pursued by Versus Arthritis.We're Arthr, a social venture powered by the charity Versus Arthritis. At Arthr we design, develop and champion brilliant products and innovations to help people with arthritis live life to the full.

Responsible for extension of WLN's membership footprint up to 30 countries by additions in US, China, Brazil, Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Italy & Finland. Led WLN’s 2018 strategic alliance with ASEAN Legal Alliance, adding 10 further allied jurisdictions.Leadership responsibility for: new membership; geographical extension and new services to members; financial planning; conference planning & leadership; membership communication; and team leadership. Role also involved media appearances and articles on various subjects.Regular chair of WLN board meetings; chaired WLN conferences, including Brussels, London, Prague, Barcelona, Delhi, Kraków, Dublin, Raleigh, Milan & Lisbon (2015-2019). With the great support of my partners, I was very closely involved in the creation of ebl, initially with offices in UK & Germany in 2014. eblmr gained & maintained Lexcel accreditation from 2008. The firm was a co-founding member of the Law Society's International section and was shortlisted several years in the Law Society Excellence Awards during that period.
