Fresche Legacy's acquisition of my company - Databorough required a transition of knowledge about Databorough products and current and future capabilities primarily in the IBM i market, but also into newer markets. My role was to provide all lines of business with that knowledge with a view to scaling both companies current commercial success over the coming years. I worked with executive management, sales, marketing services and R&D largely in an advisory capacity, but also in a primary responsibility capacity in a number of partner relationships, and direct sales opportunities.

After qualifying as a textile engineer i worked as a product development manager in a complete vertical (fibre to fabric) textile group in the denim, canvas, carpeting and knitwear sectors. In product development i was responsible for the technical and commercial development of new and existing products to make them more cost effective in manufacturing, efficient to manufacture and easier to sell. Across the group and holding various positions, some of my special technical projects/success included:- improving chemical production recipes for better fabric scouring pre dyeing process, - inventing a colour polymer regulator to stop colour variation in long runs of fibre extrusion for carpet yarns, - complete rewrite and redesign of a companies product set and systemising product specifications for manufacturing, planning, product costing and stock management. - Development and implementation of a QA management process for ISO 9000 standard.- Implementing MRP 3000 and MM 3000 at a textile plant- Development and implementation of a productivity management system in a spinning plant- Design, development, computerising and implementation of a quality stats measurement, remediation and statistical reporting management system for dyed knitwear fabric for Marks and Spencer standards.In all my positions during this period i reported into a executive level management. The maximum staff i managed at any one time was +/- 300.I had responsibilities and interaction with clients, manufacturing/planning management and staff, sales staff, finance and executive management, and regulatory bodies of various kinds. I combined skills and business knowledge learned in my fathers manufacturing company as a teenager, with an education in chemical processing in textile manufacturer, and a passion for maths and computers to take on responsibilities and projects that required a combination of technical, commercial and systems knowledge.
