I am adept at addressing the educational needs of a wide variety of students of all ages and from diverse administrations, including Secondary/Further establishments as well as the private section. I have experience managing and running a wide range of courses, at diverse levels and working with different awarding bodies. I am result driven, ambitious, and self-motivated. I have a strong technical background and lots of experience working in and contributing to a creative environment and have the ability to see the big picture and constantly develop new and inspiring approaches to achieve and challenge. A team player who thrives on creating engaging creative solutions. My experience working as a music lecturer and course team-leader for a large music department means I am always deadline orientated and have a very high standard of professionalism. I have had a lifelong passion for all aspects of multimedia, music and web creation, with enthusiasm to share my knowledge with others. I constantly endeavour to develop individual abilities and understanding of the subject and better myself. My free time is enjoyed training in Taekwondo and I actively take part in sparring tournaments and competitions. I enjoy home studio production, playing the electric and acoustic guitar, web/video blogging and novel reading. Most importantly, after becoming a Father I simply love spending time with my family and playing with my little boy.

Music And Music Technology Achievement TutorThe Manchester College Oct 2022 - Apr 2023Manchester Area, United Kingdom- Acted as the lead Achievement Tutor for a very large Music department, with more than 10 separate tutor groups of learners that I had to manage and monitor weekly, across a wide array of abilities and awarding bodies. These range from UAL Level 1 and 2 to BTEC: RQF Level 3 Extended Diplomas. - Responsible for delivering a high-quality induction programme, regular group tutorials and 1-2-1 student progress reviews. These all covering topics in line with the Tutorial and Induction Policy, including Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, British Values and ensuring that student understanding of topics relevant to their local and wider community was extended. - Work in collaboration with all staff within the department to agree and monitor student progress towards targets and ensure attendance was above college benchmark. - Ensure effective communication with parents/carers including use of Pro-Monitor/Parent Portal and ensuring Parent/Carer reports are completed in a timely fashion. -

Able to lead and motivate a team of staff to achieve high standards of performance and deliver engaging and rewarding teaching throughout. - Timetabling of staff, students and accommodation, writing and monitoring yearly SAR report, and chairing weekly team and student at risk meetings. This also included ensuring the completion of course reviews, using evaluation and learner voice information to inform improvement action plans. - Managed the department’s Virtual Learning Environment system (called Canvas) for indexing and publishing online content (assignments and lesson resources). Designing and developing this provision it has greatly helped achievement, and targeted growth and allowed us to become a completely paperless department. - Lead Internal Verifier for all Music UAL and BTEC courses (QCF/NQF). Highly experienced at writing assessments and developing custom resources. Also making sure learning agreements, registers and profiling documents are recorded and kept in accordance with College’s requirements- Tutor with full responsibility of the pastoral process; monitoring student’s progress on the course, close liaising with parents, supervising applications through UCAS, finding work experience placements and making sure students have information about what work standards are expected of them. - Contributed to the recruitment, selection and induction of staff. Also, reported and highlighted required staff development area to ensure we were updated and industry relevant. - Actively contributed to the College’s Safeguarding policies and procedures. Moreover, ensuring these as well as important English, Maths Employability and British Values were all embedded in all of the department’s on-going Schemes or Works and Lessons Plans.
