This included being a key stakeholder for fit out projects, identifying and engaging with local vendors and implementation of the required infrastructure and systems to support the offices.• Upgrade of Recruitment system across global offices, involving three disparate databases with replicating branches. A 12 month project that combined both in-house and vendor resources for planning, staff training and delivery of the upgrade. • Implementation of disaster recovery facilities through use of private cloud, hosted with a third party. Utilising virtualisation technologies to provide an ‘always on’ infrastructure, for staff to failover to in the event of a disaster recovery scenario.• Consolidation of the company’s systems utilising virtualisation technologies, reducing ‘server sprawl’, improving performance, simplifying the infrastructure and achieving cost savings.• Delivery of a cost reduction programme to optimise spend and deliver ROI while continuing to improve the technical infrastructure and efficiencies within the Group. -

It ManagerHaslers Feb 2001 - Feb 2006Essex, GbWhilst I held this position I was responsible for all aspects of Haslers information technology infrastructure, including support of the 120 users within the Firm, servers, PCs, telephony, software licence management, estate management, Internet/Intranet development, IT training and disaster recovery. In order to achieve these responsibilities I managed a team of IT analysts to provide the support function for the Firm. Other aspects of the role included management of the IT budget and suppliers, developing and reporting to the partnership on IT strategy and best practice. Another important responsibility was the successful creation of Haslers IT, offering consulting and support services to clients. The team undertook a number of successful projects for Haslers clients, including installations, management of third party suppliers, Internet site design and the provision of IT support. Key undertakings: • Specifying, evaluating and implementing document management within Haslers through the use of the Invu document management system. This was a major cultural change for the Firm and had to be managed closely. • Migration to a native Windows 2000 environment with an Exchange 2000 messaging system. • Successful upgrade of the Firm’s practice management system, which included the implementation of an MS SQL 2000 server.• Successfully providing staff and partners remote access via a secure VPN infrastructure over broadband Internet connections.• Implementation of email and Internet monitoring policies using Clearswift’s MailSweeper and WebSweeper products.• Managed the Firm to bronze certification of the FAST (software licensing) programme. -
