I began my career freelancing at northern Utah sporting events for NBC affiliate KSL-TV as an audio tech, cameraman and tape op while completing a BA in Broadcast Communications at Utah State University. Part of my early foray into sports began by editing quarterback training tapes for then Offensive Coordinator, Brian Billick (later Ravens Super Bowl XXXV wining Head Coach and Fox Sports NFL Game Analyst).I moved on from Utah State to work at both the University of Oregon’s (Coach Rich Brooks) and Stanford University’s (Coach Bill Walsh) Athletic Departments managing their facility audio and video systems as well as directing team coaching analysis. I was instrumental in the infrastructural designs of both the Casanova Center and the Arrillaga Family Sports Center on each of these campuses. I went on to begin an entrepreneurial venture, funded partially through Stanford University, called Home Team Advantage which combined early MPEG-I video codecs with a robust relational data base and client/server networked computer systems to provide the world’s first facility networked coaching analysis system. Remnants of this early system’s functionality still exist today in products provided by Catapult Thunder.My role with Acoustic Dimensions of Dallas, Texas (once Idibri, now Salas O’Brien) occupied 13 years of my professional career as a Vice President and Senior Consultant where I design engineered for and project managed the installation of Large Screen Display, Sound Reinforcement, Video Production Replay, Broadcast Infrastructure, and Distributed Video Systems for multiple major league sports venues and many minor league and collegiate team projects as well. At One Diversified, I played a balanced role for another 13 years of my professional career as a Director and Senior Solutions Architect; assisting business development, sales, and project engineering for Large Screen Display, Video Production Replay, and Broadcast Infrastructure design-build projects for multiple major league and collegiate sports venues. Now at Ross Video, I bring over 35 years of live video production engineering, LED display engineering and facility design experience to the Ross Sports and Live Events team as a Senior Solutions Architect. My personal resume includes project management and design engineering work for Lincoln Financial Field, Hard Rock Stadium, Citizens Bank Park, T-Mobile Park, America First Field, PayPal Park, and McLane Stadium to take a cross section of the many.
