The scope was diverse, the challenge large, and the results exceptional!A few highlights:► Establishing Florida’s High Technology Corridor: Partnering with regional businesses and universities, we created, branded, and marketed the concept of a high-tech region that would nourish both established and startup technology ventures.► Attracting international businesses: Looking beyond our natural connection to Latin America, I launched efforts that resulted in companies from Europe and North America—as well as Latin America—bringing their business operations to the Tampa Bay region.► Attracting US businesses: We created an attractive economic environment and reached out to US companies to sell the value of our region. Amazon, Bristol Myers Squibb, McKinsey, Stanford Research Institute, and Draper Labs are just a few of the companies from diverse sectors that located in our area.► Securing infrastructure investments: I am most proud of the $1B+ we captured in transportation funding.
