About Stuart W.
I have a strong background in and passion for baseball, with a particular interest in the pathophysiology, epidemiology, and prediction of sports injuries, in particular pitching injuries. My interests also include the development and application of sabermetric principles for use in analytics and player evaluation driven endeavours.After my time as a baseball player ended, I shifted my focus towards graduate studies, where my academic pursuits were initially driven by the desire to further expand my knowledge base and interests in more clinically driven endeavours, especially those relating to the neurosciences and public health. This led me to a career in neuroimaging research, with additional experience and training in the clinical neurosciences.While I remain passionate about these experiences in sports injury mitigation and performance optimization, I have made the recent leap into medical device epidemiology and applying my education and skills in this burgeoning discipline.
