I am a former British Diplomat with an extensive history of service in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. An international negotiation and government & external affairs career spanning several decades, shaping the UK’s international trade ambitions and fostering diplomatic ties globally. As confirmation and testament to my previous roles, I currently lead on Government & External Affairs and BD at Biwater International Ltd; a prominent UK water company with a formidable international presence. In my role, I utilise my extensive expertise across Whitehall and Foreign Governments to advance the company’s overseas interests. I have been instrumental in underpinning Biwater’s pursuit and successful delivery of foreign national water infrastructure projects. These schemes, often value from $150 million to $5 billion each, have been delivered through my ability to navigate complex Governmental relationships and adeptly understand the intricate political, geo-political, and business landscapes of overseas markets. My work has consistently involved the strategic utilisation of Government-to-Government (G2G) arrangements, to facilitate the successful execution of projects, bolstering international collaborations and the UK’s reputation in the water infrastructure sector and other large bilateral Governmental accords across other multiple sectors (e.g. Oil & Gas, Defence & Security, Aviation, Automotive, Healthcare). I have a profound understanding of the global stage, and strive to be a driving force in shaping the future of overseas trade and bilateral cooperation.
