Throughout my life, four consistent actions have been absolutely critical in determining how I tackle any situation, assignment, or job. These actions are:• Solve problems • Be curious • Compete • Work hardIt is the combination of these four actions that allowed me to achieve on the track in high school, in the classroom in college, and continues to keep me motivated and valuable in the workplace today. A desire to solve problems brought me to my major in Agribusiness, a program constantly applied to solving current industry issues. It continues to be the basis for the work I choose to do. Curiosity gave me to the drive to explore a variety of different classes and extracurricular activities that gave me the experience in market and financial analysis that lead me to the career path that I am on today. My desire to compete is what gave me the drive to apply for and acquire two highly competitive internships at leading companies in their respective fields and come away with concrete skills and experience that will allow me to succeed as a market analyst at any company. Dedication to working hard is the foundation for every problem I solve, every project to which my curiosity takes me, and every competition in which I find myself. No one was ever satisfied after an easy day’s work.

Brand Management InternAltria May 2013 - Aug 2013As a brand management intern, I spent the summer developing two broad based project goals into refined, viable brand recommendations. The first of these projects revolved around the analysis of quantitative market data acquired from over 100 data queries on MI Connect and IRI databases. I used Excel to synthesize raw price, volume, and market share data into clear trends and graphs indicating necessary actions to be taken by the company in regards to its value promotions. The second project required me to analyze Brand Equity Tracker Reports and consumer reports created from qualitative research database CATTS in order to link market trends and consumer preferences with brand strengths in a unique way. Further reinforcing these connections, I conducted a week long research trip interviewing Altria production managers along each level of the supply chain and took facility tours of top consumer brands such as Jack Daniels and Miller Coors in order to get a thorough understanding of internal and external product development. At the conclusion of the internship, I leveraged weeks of analysis, data collection, and creative development to present my project conclusions to top brand directors.
