Driving GE Aviation’s MES modernization initiative across multiple divisions with a focus on GE Aviation’s Core Engines business (Both Component Supply Chain & Final Engine Assembly). This role currently focuses on leading a global team to expedite the successful rollout of GE Digital’s Plant Application MES/MOM solution for both discrete and process manufacturing. Key responsibilities include:• Program managing implementation schedule across several concurrent deployments occurring across the globe• Acting as primary Product Owner for GE Aviation in MES development, partnering with MES vendors on product creation• Management of internal development teams using Agile methodologies to deliver services packages bespoke for our shops• Partnership with our CTO organization to deliver Cloud-Native solutions for hosting of application services within AWS• Regular travel to internal customer sites to coordinate delivery of key milestone events such as SIT / UAT & Go-Lives• Vendor Management of both MES vendor and third party services suppliers to ensure value for money & on time delivery of key services & requirements

Managed a global team and a wide MES / Quality portfolio which includes: GE Digital Production Manager, GE Digital Plant Applications, Kronos AutoTime, TIPQA & SAP CAMS (c. 10,000+ users)• Owned 5 major MES deployments across North America introducing c. 1,500 users to the environment• Partnered with functional leadership and built case to roll out major MES deployments across global facilities• Managed a migration of core MES platforms from on-prem hosting to AWS, delivering a 40% reduction in running costs and elimination of planned outages (99.99% overall uptime)• Delivered reference architecture and initial test environments for next-gen GE Digital MES Solution (Plant Apps) in readiness for a drive to implement MES across our Core Engines business

Responsible for MES blueprinting and functional design for GE Aviation's manufacturing facilities globally. Current focus is on the Proficy PFM-D / Production Manager (Discrete) MES solution. Major responsibilities include:- Partnering with functional leadership to identify key areas for improvement and prioritize these with GE Digital (MES Vendor)- Lay out of business case and value generation proposal with GEA stakeholders, focusing on cash generation and variable cost productivity- Functional requirement design and wireframing- Layout of upgrade strategy and resourcing across GE Aviation- Release strategy development, initial testing and defect reporting to the vendor- Delivery of advanced analytics projects to more mature MES deploymentsSince moving to this position we have now expanded our MES blueprint to a further 7 facilities across GE Aviation across 2 countries.

Responsible for the deployment of GE Intelligent Platforms' Proficy MES system within the Aviation Cheltenham campus in the UK. This deployment is a pillar application of a wider Oracle R12 ERP deployment. To deliver, I led a project team of 8 people, 4 of which were direct reports. Major Deliverables were:- Several rounds of Conference Room Pilot testing (CRP testing) over a period of 15 months- Code set deployment and stability testing- Defect reporting, and testing of new fixes- Design of several new pieces of functionality built out specifically for the Cheltenham facility- Deployment of the client to 250 shopfloor clients- Coordination of training of 400 usersIn addition to the above, I have carried out the following activities:- Acted as Proficy Program Manager whilst staff were moved between roles- Owned the Newark blueprint and deployment codeset- In 2015, I have lead all major design work for the v6.3.2 codeset globally

I returned to Scottish Enterprise in October 2008 to carry out more consultancy work. On this occasion, our team was asked to critically assess the HR framework of a rapidly growing recruitment agency in Glasgow.After conducting primary and secondary research, we overhauled the existing infrastructure of the company. Amongst other things, we introduced a new appraisal system, new employee handbook and developed a statistical model for the charting of employees performance against targets.

Spent 6 weeks with the Rise Group in Glasgow City Centre. I worked on a number of different projects including:• Market research for business development• Creating an e-mail template for use in marketing activities• Actively recruiting for a client, including interviewing candidates• Developing a standardised client engagement model for use across the whole group• Creating a business plan and feasibility study for a proposed new section of the group• Creating a proposal template for use with clients

8 week summer internship in conjunction with Scottish Enterprise, developing small businesses in the Dumbartonshire area. Developed a marketing strategy for a debt collection agency. Also developed a product testing and launch strategy for a circuit board manufacturer. Gained valuable experience in the running of small businesses, also in business planning, project management, market research and development of business plans.
