Responsible for the architecture and development of www.rightcalc.com, a cloud-based pricing system for the insurance and financial service industries, built using Microsoft.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC 3, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, and NoSQL database technology. The system integrates with 3rd party systems using WCF SOAP and REST web services.Built a continuous delivery system, which deploys a new system version on every successful commit, using CruiseControl.NET, NAnt, NUnit and WebDeploy

Played a significant role in building a 400 user .NET, n-tier system for a debt management company as a replacement for a legacy Visual Basic/FoxPro system which had outgrown its original design.Developed integration services using SOAP web services and WCF to automate mortgage and credit card applications.Built a flexible, user-configurable fee calculation engine and billing system responsible for enforcing fee-capping rules imposed by creditors and insolvency practitioners. This system has been running for over four years and successfully processes thousands of cases every day.

I developed several high-profile modules and core software features within SampleManager - the company’s flagship Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) product - using SampleManager's proprietary 4th generation, object-oriented language, VGL.I worked closely with clients in the Pharmaceutical, Food & Drink and Petrochemical industries to extend the core product with requirements common to their industry.I was involved in the full software development lifecycle from developing functional specifications, writing design documents to coding, developer testing and 3rd line product support.I regularly participated in many JAD (Joint Application Development) meetings and workshops with customers and sales staff to understand and evolve future product requirements.I attended international user meetings for two weeks a year to present new features and technical topics to customers and prospects and to understand their needs.Worked within the demands of an ISO 9001/TickIT certified quality environment.
