Technical Lead for a meta component development group. Co-Designed and developed an API for client applications to interface with Symantec core components (AntiVirus Engine, LiveUpdate, etc) for quick, black box implementation of the engines for scanning files, streams, and URLS. Work with a wireless router company to help add scanning capability to their products. Responsible for gathering and writing Requirements, design solutions, C++ coding of features, and performing design and code reviews of all features. Previously worked on the Symantec Mail Security for SMTP software development and learned SMTP protocol, as well as MIME RFC structure/compliance.

• Developed a web-based data ordering system for the atmospheric sciences division in support of the LATiS satellite for NASA. • Developed to allow scientists to login, select geographic regions and conditions for analysis, and order copied of media or perform web downloads. • Integrated this system with a backend system which would query our satellite's database, determine which media the data was located on, and then would trigger a robotic tape retrieval system to pull the tape, load a server, copy the data, and produce a deliverable media, if required, with the appropriate data. • Used HTML, PERL, DBI, sql, and C on Solaris, HP-UX, and SGI workstations.

• Developed touch-screen applications for joint warfare simulation trainer (BFTT - Battle Force Tactical Trainer). This was a real-time simulator based on radar data which would allow different components of a battle force to utilize weapons, and counter-measures in a simulated, real-time environment.• Used C++, Motif X11R5, HP-UX & Solaris OS.
