This includes a dynamic and engaging team of consummate professionals who deliver excellence and teamwork every day. Hudson is a challenging, fast-paced environment. We specialize in executing highly successful retail concepts in difficult places few others dare to tread - Airports, Commuter Terminals, Train Stations, and Bus Terminals. Hudson is a "household name" of travel retail, featured as a natural part of popular media portraying events in the travel environment. If there's a movie that features airports, you can nearly always bet there's a Hudson store in there somewhere. Retail is an industry in disruption. At Hudson we in IT strive to deliver at a level of high quality, enabling our business to boldly take on the next challenge, while at the same time never letting up on planning for the next great thing, to take us into the future.I've been in retail IT now for three decades. Given that kind of background, Hudson is a dream job.

At Nuance I was responsible for all Information Technology that was used anywhere in the business, and for the team of amazing people who looked after it. This included all equipment and infrastructure from fax machines up to ERP Systems, Data Centers, and Cloud Services. Additionally, Business Analysis, Development, Compliance, Continuity Planning, and Business Intelligence fell under my responsibility. While my primary responsibility was the Americas region, I also participated as part of the Global IT Practice within the company, working with my colleagues in other regions to shape the future of our technology portfolio, ensuring it continued to enable our business, and differentiate us in our marketplace.My work at Nuance was dynamic and challenging. In addition to the "core" areas of Point-of-Sale, ERP, Logistics, and geographically diverse Networking that you'd expect from a global retailer, there was also plenty of opportunity to push the frontiers of retail IT, with omni-channel retail technology, immersive digital experience, and creative technology-enabled partnerships. Never a dull moment!Nuance Group was acquired by Dufry AG in 2014. Hudson is part of Dufry.

At Roots I was responsible for the Technology side of IT - Computer systems, Networks, Business Continuity, Server Architecture, VPN, Unix System Management, Wireless Links, Graphic Arts systems, Factory Automation systems, and the highly skilled team of people who looked after it and kept it all running.
