Specifically, devised a methodology to refine the company scanning procedure to extract a vector space from a subset of points as selected by the user. This drastically increased the accuracy and processing speed of the device. Implemented the entire original state estimation algorithm from Julia to C++ to achieve real-time processing, including the creation of custom geometric classes such as unit quaternions.• Implemented agile methodologies from the ground up to manage a team of seven engineers.• Sped up the company proprietary algorithm by six times by using OpenMP to heavily parallelize robust normal estimation in point cloud processing.• Developed the entire software architecture behind the integration of the original proprietary algorithm into a user-specified UX and its re-design from a Julia program into a C++ hierarchy.• Implemented a custom distance matrix-based DBSCAN clustering algorithm to achieve a four times speed-up factor to allow for real-time processing.• Due to extensive technical leadership skills, was accepted into the prestigious HAX hardware accelerator based in Shenzhen, China for five months.
