I wanted to be a celebrity, firefighter, policeman, or doctor, but I mainly wanted to become a police officer. As time went on and I aged, I simply forgot about this ambition and just went about school without any real purpose. Even as I approached college, I really had no idea what I wanted to do when I got there. I had not calling and no drive for anything. My moment of realization came when I was walking to class in high school and I saw a state trooper that had contracted with the school district. Something deep down inside of me just clicked and I suddenly knew that I wanted to go into law enforcement. The drive that I had been missing ignited and burned brighter than ever. It carried me through the rest of high school and into college. I have been asked why I still want to go into this field even with everything that is going on. The answer is always the same, which is that I truly want to do this and nothing others can say or do will move me from my desired goal.I currently am proud to have a 3.83 GPA. I started with criminal justice major courses early, so by the end of my sophomore year I will have completed eight criminal justice courses. Unfortunately, I lack experience and activities that I can bolster myself with, but where I lack experience, I try everyday to make up for with hard work and determination.
