About Stu Fenton

Gestalt psychotherapist working with addictions, currently studying an international Masters in Social Work and Human Rights. I am passionate about working with individuals who experience addiction to drugs, alcohol as well as other process addictions such as sex, shopping, workaholism and more. I use gestalt skills primarily to stimulate awareness around ones' behaviours so that individuals realise they have a choice in regard to acting on old behaviours or creating new and healthier responses to life's challenges.I also work with gay men on these same issues as well as issues related to internalised homophobia, low self esteem, sex addiction, grief, 'coming out' & family problems.Specialties: Group facilitation, counselling, mediation, non violent communication, support network creation, crisis counselling, relapse prevention, didactic download groups, motivational interviewing, suicide assist training and self esteem building.My goals for 2022 and beyond after the Covid crisis passes is to study a Masters in Social Work at Alice Salomon University in Berlin and also to find work there if possible.
