Stuti Mohapatra is an Indian architectural designer, presently working at W40 Architects in Wiesbaden, Germany. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Architecture from Städelschule Architecture Class in Frankfurt, under the guidance of Prof. Peter Trummer. During her master’s she studied and analysed multiple facets of urban neighbourhoods as a thesis topic and synthesized the typological features of neighbourhoods using AI (GAN) based algorithm. The work led to an interesting dialect between the space of digital possibilities (a large set of solution space obtained through AI transformations) and her training to apply analogue probabilities. For this work, she was awarded The AIV Master’s thesis Prize. She has also worked as an architect in M9 design Studio, Bangalore and executed an array of projects including institutional, residential, commercial and competitions. Her interest lies in continuing to work on diverse typologies in an international context and scale. She is interested in all connectives from large to whole, research to realisation, mastering the power of the digital to leapfrog onto a large solution space ahead of the curve.
