As CEO, Steve led a comprehensive turnaround of Muzak, which was saddled with heavy debt burden, legacy technology and antiquated business model facing digital competition. Steve executed an aggressive operational and financial change program that tripled operating cash flows to 25% of revenue in just 18 months. This transformation was recognized with Atlas Award Media Company Turnaround of the Year. The ultimate recognition came when Muzak was sold to a strategic buyer for a premium multiple. Steve was hired as Muzak’s CFO by the new Private Equity owner to integrate multiple acquisitions and establish a results-driven, operationally focused corporate culture. Prior to Muzak, Steve was CFO of Frisby Technologies and led the IPO process of this high growth company. He also served as Global Controller of the Harman International - Consumer Div. His career began at Price Waterhouse in the Technology/Entertainment Group. He rose to Senior Manager and spent 3 years in Paris supporting the IBM Europe restructuring.
