We provide the syllabus and exams for IT Higher Education Qualifications internationally We write the syllabi for Professional Certifications, provide the exam, and courseware to support local Accredited Training Providers to deliver courses. My role is to find a market, and partners to work internationally.

After a year at GL Education I was approached by Scholastic Inc to become their new International Sales Director. The role is to build on the company's reputation for providing great literature through trade and education.

I worked for GL Education for a year as their International Development Manager. GL Education Group is the leading provider of literacy, numeracy and ability testing in the UK and our resources are used in over 100 countries worldwide. I worked mainly in the Middle East which was a key market but also kept an eye on opportunities in Africa. The key institutions which push trends and set targets in educational development such as the World Bank and OECD have focused more on the need to improve education outcomes in recent years. Part of that focus has to do with assessments and the management of education data. GL Education Group is perfectly positioned to help organisations and individuals gain access to assessment services and data management systems which will help governments, ministries of education and schools make informed policy decisions, and ultimately help improve standards in the classroom.

I became a member of the Management Board of Macmillan Education in 2006 and was promoted to the position of Regional Director ACME division (Africa, Caribbean and Middle East). My core duties included:Responsibility for regional and UK sales and profitability reporting into the CEO and Finance Director.Pricing and submitting bids through international tenders (ICB’s).Developing proposals and negotiating with Ministers, NGOs, donors and aid agencies for the supply and delivery of textbooks and educational materialsWorking alongside the Publishing Director to develop new publishing proposals for textbooks and supplementary materials in both traditional and digital formats.Working with local companies to develop sales and marketing plans of open market sales to local and international private schools.

For 10 months I was the General Manager for Macmillan Polska (Poland), setting up the company from scratch and implementing a sales and marketing strategy. My main task was to introduce and sell the Macmillan Heinemann ELT list, building brand awareness throughout the Caucasus and FSU.My time was spent travelling around the Caucasus, Georgia and Azerbaijan and to Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan) with ELT samples, appointing agents and distributors, running workshops and generally promoting Macmillan Heinemann products. Many of the distributors I established still represent Macmillan today.I lived and worked for a year at Pyunik Macmillan in Armenia.
