About Scott T. Wilson, Ph.D.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice and a consultant, and an adjunct faculty member at Teachers College, Columbia University. I received my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Psychiatric Genetics. I have also received advanced training in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy, a structured psychodynamic treatment approach for personality disorders and identity issues. During my career, I have worked as a clinician, researcher, educator, and a media and marketing consultant. My expertise lies in the study of personality and personality pathology. In addition to my clinical work, I also have a long standing interest in finance and in the financial markets, and how personality traits influence investor behavior and decision-making on money related matters.
