R&D project leader, I use to design, plan, organize and coordinate research and development projects in the field of infectious diseases from the initialization phase to completion.Typhoid projects:Goals:• Clinical validation of a multiplex molecular PCR test to identify Typhoid pathogens in endemic countries.• Implementation, in a preclinical study aiming at evaluating a new Typhoid conjugated vaccine efficacity (Ghana), of the Typhoid test to monitor and fine tune disease burden.Funding: 3 grants from BMGF and 1 sub-grant from EuropeCollaborations in Asia, Africa and EuropeResults : Results: 1 test marketed and used in the field -> 4000 patients tested - 1 publication (and 1 in progress) - 5 international teams trained.Microbiota and NGS projects: Goals:• To describe the nasopharyngeal microbiota of HIV positive children and determine its association with respiratory disease. • To caracterize respiratory and gut microbiota of ICU patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia.Funding: 1 European grant (EDCTP) and 1 seed money.Collaborations in Ghana and France.Résults: Development of specific samples prep for bacterial and viral nucleic acids purification - developed industrial collaboration – Design and develop pilot projects as well as sequencing – identify new opportunities and develop side projects (pneumococcal and meningococcal typing, biomarker).Quality: NF EN ISO/IEC 17025 : 2017 certification (Molecular Typhoid identification) – Internal auditorProjet manager| R&D | Molecular Biology | Infectious disease | Samples prep | NGS | Innovation | Audit | Management |
