- Working within the Card Processing System (CPS) team. The CPS is designed to be a scalable and reliable SaaS product which aims to provide a comprehensive solution for settling card payments to vendors.- Developed, tested and documented services within CPSv2, the successor to the original CPS. CPSv2 is a consolidation of existing financial systems into a unified platform which offers flexibility in settlement options, allowing vendors to receive instant settlements to their Kazang wallets (Kazang Pay) or choose next-day settlements to their bank accounts from transactions made on Kazang terminals. I was primarily involved with the Settlement, Reporting, SFTP and Support services.- Worked on migrating the CPS ingestion of transaction data from 3rd party payment gateways to an internal group payment gateway.- Involved in the expansion of the Kazang Pay product within the CPS to international markets (Zambia), which is currently in a pilot phase.- Significantly decreased CPS DB load through SQL optimisations and caching data. Key achievement includes reducing Amazon RDS costs by 50% for CPS databases. - Presently refactoring CPS processes (crontab -> linux background processes, config management, post-deployment tasks) to achieve deployment automation.- Currently designing and implementing a collection tool which allows vendors to repay their debts by deducting a specific percentage from their Kazang Pay settlements. The collection tool is designed to integrate with any Kazang advance product, and it can be used for ad-hoc collections.
