Former District Manager Community Corrections, Porirua, Wellington and Lower Hutt. Past experience as Student Unit Supervisor Victoria University and Ministry of Justice. Strong background in the criminal justice system (Courts and Corrections) and in working with Iwi.Experienced in reporting to Ministers on either sides of the political spectrum. Responsible for leading the implementation of the Treasury's Pacific Strategy focused on building internal staff capability as well as the Treasury's external relationships with Pacific communities and economic leaders and stakeholders. Key priority areas include the Living Standards Framework and Wellbeing. Established the first Pacific Economic Leaders Talanoa Group for the Treasury to provide qualitative feedback and commentary on the impact and effectiveness of government support for Pacific businesses.Has also led the publication of three reports/papers on the Treasury website - the "Pacific Perspectives on the Living Standards Framework" the "Pacific Wellbeing Background Paper" to the Treasury's Well Being Report tabled in Parliament 2022, and the "Pacific contribution to the New Zealand Economy" research paper launched by the MoF. Currently working on an inter-agency project (MBIE and MPP) looking at the impact of government investment in driving economic development and prosperity for New Zealand's Pacific communities. Specifically focusing on intervention logic and associated data gathering and analysis. Report scheduled for later in the year.
