Lead Mechanical Engineering Design for "El Palito Refinery Expansion Project", actually under development of detailed engineering phase, taking the responsibility of design the related equipment for the Amine Regeneration and Sour Water Stripping units (static, rotary and package equipment; and firefighting system). Also the development of specification, data sheets and requisition documentation for the above mentioned equipment is being developed.

Lead Mechanical Engineer during design and construction of the Juan Bautista Arismendi Plant in Nueva Esparta, which included the installation of two General Electric MS7001EA (85 MW) gas turbines and its auxiliary systems, and associated equipment for Balance of Plant area (BOP) such as fuel and water tanks, pumps, packaged units (instrument air, sea water treatment), interconnecting piping.Responsible for supervise commissioning activities representing the mechanical discipline at the end of the mechanical completion of GE MS7001EA units installation and it’s auxiliaries including startup testing activities.Member of the engineering review group of FEED and detailed engineering for the installation of 4 units Solar Titan 130 (15 MW) in the Plant “Juan Bautista Arismendi”.

Rotating Equipment Engineer for the project "Petromonagas COPEM CAPACITY EXPANSION PROJECT" (Expansion of Petromonagas Operations Center that pretreat and dilute 120.000 BPD of crude), during which were developed specification, selection and requisition of packaged and rotary equipment for plant auxiliary services, such as, crude oil transfer pumps, wastewater effluents pumps (centrifugal and positive displacement), chemical injection packages, oily water separator (flotation cell) and compression units for instrument and plant air service.

Static Equipment Inspection during scheduled plant shutdown 2010 Vynil-Chloride plant (30 days) and in 2011 the Olefins plant (80 days). Tasks include internal and external inspection of static equipment and lines (heat exchangers, towers, columns, reactors, dehydrators, tanks, drums, boilers, furnaces). Insulation inspection, ultrasonic thickness measurement for equipment and processing lines, liquid penetrant application to equipment, process lines and compressor parts. Inspection of industrial coatings (paints, rubber, refractory bricks, etc.), application of boroscope to equipment and process lines.

Design of air conditioning systems (HVAC&R), chillers and air handling units selection, design of piping systems for chilled water distribution including selection of chilled water pumps. Fire extinction systems design using clean agent. Preparation and review of products, plans and documents of basic and detailed engineering, P&ID's, piping isometrics, plan orthographic piping and elevations/sections views.
