I provided Editorial Direction to Staffing Industry Review, the flagship magazine of the staffing industry along with its sister publications, Contingent Workforce Strategies and Daily News.Responsibilities included:- Manage a team of professionals, freelance writers, layout artists and production personnel- Oversee all phases of the editorial production process - Coordinate editorial, advertising and marketing schedules- Regularly contribute to magazine, blogs, webinars, and research reports on the staffing industry- Moderate various panels at C-suite industry events Notable Accomplishments:- Founded the Staffing Stream, an award-winning blog that provides a platform for the leading voices of the staffing industry to engage. Since creation, more than 1,300 industry professionals have posted to share knowledge, offer advice, and discuss trends.- Conceived, compiled, and published the Staffing 100 list, a “Who’s who” list of the most influential people in the staffing industry. Now an annual publication, there is also a reception honoring these influencers at the American Staffing Association's annual event. - Won several prestigious awards from ASBPE (American Society of Business Publication Editors) and TABPI (Trade Association of Business Publications International)

I founded the Contingent Workforce Strategies newsletter that targeted HR & Procurement professionals at Fortune 500 companies. I quickly rose up the company ranks, gaining increasing responsibilities, until it was bought out by Crain Communications Inc.

I worked on a number of business stories for eCompany Now/Business 2.0. Topics included the dot-com era, the nature of venture capital and stock options, Hollywood vs. Silicon Valley issues, and the biotech venture conference. During this time I freelanced with Time Warner and San Jose Business Journal while also raising my two children.

As a Reporter for Money Magazine, I developed story ideas on a wide range of topics for both Money Magazine and Fortune Small Business magazine. Skilled at relationship building, I developed rapport with C-suite executives and Wall Street analysts, and I also managed relationships between writers, editors and sources with equanimity leading to breaking news and high-quality content. Known for precise reporting and competitive analysis, my investigative reporting of the cover story on How the IRS is targeting small Business prompted the Congress hearings in 1997, which began the broad ranging institutional reform of the IRS.

As Senior Editor, I edited news and feature stories including wire and local copy from live bureaus. I also wrote compelling articles for the newspaper and prepared manual layouts of the 16-page daily newspaper.

As the Senior Editor, I was responsible for editing the feature section and back of the book of Sunday magazine, a weekly news magazine published by ABP, one of the leading publication houses in India. In this role, I also initiated gripping articles for the magazine that targeted the urban middle-class readership. Further, I built relationships with the country’s business community to create a network for breaking news and editorial content, and I profiled the country’s leading artists.
