I am an independent advocate practising in Kolkata in the field of direct taxes having around 20 yrs rich experience . I am basically into litigation practice & have dealt in cases fm. CIT(A) stage upto High Court stage. In last 20 yrs. I have represented in more than 8000 cases before the ITAT. About 100 cases have been reported in reputed law journals. I have handled about 300 cases in the high court. I have written about 50 articles which have appeared in journals like ITR, Taxman, The Chartered Accountant etc. I have addressed about 100 seminars & symposiums organised by various reputed bodies like ICAI, All Bengal Tax Bar Ass, Tax Advocates' Assn. Of Bengal, AIFTP, DTPA etc. I am the Past President of Direct Taxes Professionals' Assn.(DTPA) having 1500 members comprising of CAs, CSs & Advocates. For 5 yrs. continuous i have edited the house journal of DTPA.
