Recruited in BORDER SECURITY FORCE in 1986 and trained in BTC BSF, Hazaribagh for nine months. Completed Commando Course in BSF Academy Tekanpur with a grading of A+ in 1987. Learnt to handle small arms like GLOCK-17, 19 PISTOLS, SELF LOADING RIFILES, SNIPER GUNS, M P-5, AK-47 and LIGHT MECHINE GUNS. Posted in Punjab to battle against terrorists till 1989 and further moved to Academy and was posted as a commando instructor till 1994.
