In this role, I led a team of R&D scientists and informaticians at Georgetown who, in partnership with clinical leaders and health care innovators, advanced computational big data science in clinical research and education — in support of precision medicine clinical programs. I worked with clinical partners, MedStar Health, Hackensack Meridian, Howard University Hospital and VA Medical Center, DC, to develop and rapidly apply data analytics and insights in care settings and clinical research in Oncology, neuromuscular diseases, cognitive impairment, and other domains. I co-chaired the health data governance committee for honest brokering of health data among partners for a variety of Pharma/Biotech/CRO and academic projects in the US and globally. Partnering with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform, I launched the Cloud-First initiative for machine learning driven biomedical discovery.As part of the senior executive team at the medical center, I help set long term strategy for all data-driven medical research and development initiatives.I was a member of Georgetown's internal advisory board for Health and Life Sciences which sets the vision and strategy for next generation of the medical center over the next decade.

Our team developed the flagship cancer data analytics system G-DOC (Georgetown Database of Cancer) with access to over 10,000 high quality, well-annotated cancer biospecimen and associated metadata on phenotypes, interventions and outcomes. Primary focus areas include GI, Breast and lung cancers.I established and led a medical and scientific council for the Georgetown-Hackensack immuno-oncology patient registry to advance machine learning-driven drug discovery and adverse event prediction for a variety of checkpoint inhibitors in melanoma, lung and kidney cancers.As Director, Biomedical Informatics, I led the Health IT infrastructure for clinical research across MedStar Health, Howard University and Georgetown University hospitals. My team has enabled access to over 4M de-identified patient records for comparative effectiveness and clinical outcomes research.
