During my internship, I immersed myself in ground-level agricultural extension work, collaborating closely with small tea growers to disrupt the monopoly of tea brokers in their areas. By establishing direct connections between growers and tea factories, I contributed to fostering a more equitable and efficient supply chain.In addition to my fieldwork, I honed my skills in office management and administrative tasks, adeptly handling inventory and facilitating various processes. I also played a pivotal role in developing systems to streamline board meetings, ensure statutory compliance, and uphold governance procedures in accordance with the Companies Act.My journey continued as I ventured into the realm of finance and accounts management for a farmer producer company, where I established robust systems for updating Management Information Systems (MIS), overseeing statutory audits, and ensuring sound financial practices.At GHG Laboratories, situated in rural areas, I had the privilege of training local youth in sampling and measuring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from cropland soils. This endeavor led to the generation of pioneering datasets for cropland N2O emission factors in research plots across West Bengal. My strengths lie in empirical approaches and method/instrument development, and I thrive in the execution of GHG sample collection and analysis.Furthermore, I actively participate in supporting GHG mitigation projects, contributing as a verifier/validator of such initiatives. My multifaceted experiences have equipped me with a unique blend of fieldwork proficiency, administrative acumen, and technical expertise, positioning me as a valuable asset in any endeavor aimed at sustainable agricultural practices and environmental stewardship.
