About Subhan Ullah

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Cybersecurity, FAST School of Computing, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NU), where I teach, research, and supervise students in the fields of IoT Security, Cloud Security and cybersecurity. I have over five+ years of experience in this role, and I hold double PhD degrees in Information Technology (IT) from the University of Klagenfurt, Austria and the University of Genoa, Italy.My research mission is to develop lightweight security and data protection techniques for smart camera IoT applications, using ML/AI approaches for intrusion detection/prevention and crypto-based methods for data encryption and signing. I have published multiple papers in prestigious journals and conferences, such as IEEE Sensors and IoT, and secured fully-funded scholarships for my doctoral and master studies. I am passionate about advancing the state-of-the-art in IoT security and contributing to the academic and industrial communities. I also enjoy cooking, cycling, and traveling whenever I can.
