He is having 42 years of experience in the related trade of Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Processing & Marketing Management. He furthered his professional qualification on advanced training on Marketing Management at Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, Project Management at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and specialized course on Extrusion Technology from Kansas State University, USA.He is a keen strategist & pioneer with skills in conceptualizing & effecting process initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity in agri-business. He is a life Member of Association of Food Scientist and Technologists of India (AFSTI), Independent Director of North East Mega Food Park. He is actively associated with FINER, FICCI, ICC & CII and was the Chairman of Food Processing & Agri-business Committee of FINER, Advisory Member & Sector Chairman of Agri-business for North East in FICCI besides a Member in the Board of Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) for long. He was Advisor for ICCOA (International Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture) and SIMFED, Govt of Sikkim Federation and later as Consultant-NER with CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Presently he is Advisor - Palm Plantations with Patanjali Foods Limited (formerly Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd ) responsible for its operations in North East, stationed at Guwahati, Assam. He is also the Co-chairman of Agriculture, Horticulture & Food Processing of Indian Chamber of Commerce in North Eastern Region.
